Wow! I love the TAL-Tube plugin. It is a miracle for drums and voice, especially. Really, it's great on everything! I see that it is a freeware plugin. Does the plugin interfere with the audio signal after a certain period? I seem to have pops and clicks I've never had before in my mixes and I'm wondering if there's something I don't know about. Please help. Thanks, Tom. please respond to tdevitox@gmail.com

I really love your work, all the plugins are great, but the best part is, that you're going x64. I would love to see a sampler or a drum machine from TAL ;) Johnny Wishoff, Denmark - EU

This is da shit! Wow man! Your plugins are absolutley stunning! I like em alot! I used to own an Roland mc 202 and the Bassline is the BEST analog emulated sound I've ever come across. It sounds like I'm having a 202 again. And as many other people state here, your plugins are way better and simpler than many many commercial products out there! Things like this deserve a donation offcourse. Thank you so much for you work :P

Just wanted you to know i donated. I've used your plugins in several productions and have always loved them. the noisemaker is KILLER! sounds amazing! I hope you update to 64 bit audio units the TAL delays and juno emulators. Dan Muckala Nashville, TN

Noisemaker has a very brilliant sound. It is one of my best sounding units, regardless of hard or software synth. But at the moment it seems not to be very stable at Win XP 32 in Cubase 5.1.1. Cubase closed several times when using the plug in. Further some ideas for improvements: - Add a Dry/Wet Knob or Slider for the Chorus. - Add a Delay Effect with Dry/Wet Knob or Slider. - Add an Arpeggiator with Basic Modes and Times, syncable to Host. - Add a superwave waveform like in famous roland synths with variable detune. - Changing the OSC Waveforms is not clear, is it by the phase knob? Could be implemented better by simply clicking in a button. Implement this and this synth is ONE OF THE ULTIMATE SOFTSYNTHS. - That's all, and please leave the gui as intuitive at is at the moment, DO Not make an oversized gui like NI Massive which is absolutely unuseable from may point of view.

Noisemaker appears to be fullfillment of my dreams. However I miss the OSC1+2 option in the destination of the envelope (like in Elek7ro). Hope You gonna implement it :) Thanks a lot for Your plugs!

Wow - loving Noisemaker. I LOVE your juno 106 emulator - its so great. I was curious if youd be working on a new version - the sounds are fantastic but theres awkward things happening with polyphony. Even though it has 6 voice polyphony, it often cuts notes off when you play new notes when youre not even close to 6 at a time. The way the original juno worked is that it had 6 oscillator chips and it would move through each osc chip everytime you played a new note. if you stayed on the same 6 notes playing them a hundred times it would never have notes cutting other notes off. i see someone else who commented called it voice stealing. its such a sweet synth but this is a huge problem! also - why just 6 note polyphony? its a computer so it should be more! Anyways - love your stuff - some of the best free stuff around. I will gladly donate if it means more. Thanks!

Thanks for Noisemaker v1.03b! It now passes Logic AU verification for me, and shows up in Plogue Bidule (PPC OSX 10.4.11). Sounds great. Your work is superb. I'm still using everything from Vintager on up. Thanks a lot! Sorry I don't have any spare cash for a donation... Look forward to more KundK, too.

Very nice synths and effects. No problem for all of them using a PIV 3Ghz, but some vst's like Juno 62, Elek7ro or Moise maker could not be loaded in an AMD Athlon 1200 CPU. Do you know how to solve this issue? i would like to use also on that computer. As host, I load in free version of Cantabile Lite in both systems.

All your plugs are lovely, I wish you could create an easy to use virtual sampler with live sample recording and some filters coming from Baseline or Elektro. I don't like comercial virtual samplers like Halion or Kontakt, they seems to be made for people who only needs to import huge libraries, I want to be creative as I was when I used my Ensoniq EPS 16+. Keep up the good work! PD: If anyone knows a nice free VST sampler for Mac, please share at darkshipATgmailDOTcom

Hi there, Just wanted to add a comment here about my appreciation of TAL products. I've used the following to great effect on my second album, called "The Timeless Mind", which is to be released on the 24th may 2010 through AD Music: TAL-Elek7ro TAL-Bitcrusher TAL-DUB-II TAL-U-No-62 TAL-BassLine TAL-Tube TAL-Flanger TAL-Phaser Like others who have commented here, I too use high-end products but TAL stuff seems to find it's way into my work and for me, are now very much my "go to" synths and FX. Fabulous work and looking forward to seeing what's next.
Posted May 07. 2010 11:23:06 from 84.245.131.114:
U-NO 62 and TAL Dub III are my favorites and now standard plugins in my setup. I work with many high quality commercial synths like East West, Albino, Surge, Helix, Sylenth ... and FX like Timeless, Flux, CSR ..., too and yes they all are great plugins, have many special features and sounds great. But your products here are a perfect combination of easy and fast to use, great sound quality and good stability. Many commercial developers should follow your operating principle instead of overfill their sometimes overpriced software with semi manufactured and buggy special features to get more and more money. Thank you very much for this great FREE Plugins !! Go on with this work. If the day comes I can make my songs only with your software, I will sell my whole commercial software and share the money with you !

ok, got it. the secret is using the group track. doesn't seem to work as a regular send from individual tracks the way it does in ableton. just create a group track and set the output of the two source tracks to that group, then add tal-vocoder as insert to the group track (in case there are others who want to know the solution). great plugin, btw! :)
Posted March 10. 2010 05:16:38 from 97.73.64.175:
ok, sorry to repost and also make myself look stupid: i have got the input function to work in ableton. note to other ableton users, make sure you have the sends for the tracks you want POST fader, otherwise the pan settings for those tracks won't have any effect and the signals won't get to the vocoder the way they need to. still working on getting it to work in cubase.
Posted March 10. 2010 04:54:28 from 97.73.64.175:
great work, thanks for the freeware plugins, HOWEVER, tal-vocoder only works as described in the manual for using the internal carrier controlled by midi. i have tried it in both cubase 5 and ableton live 8 (running osx 10.6.2 on intel mac) and neither one will allow me to do what you describe using the input mode. no matter how i have anything panned, it just produces a strange filter effect on both inputs. one is definitely NOT acting as a carrier for the other. would love to get this straightened out as this would be my primary use for this plugin.
Posted March 03. 2010 20:35:46 from 99.74.119.198:
Oh yeah, I forgot (I'm the guy from the previous delay requests): for Elek7ro, (1) it would be great to add polyphony control like in U-No-62. I like the sound of note stealing, but it can also help out in preserving CPU. (2) A delay parameter for the LFOs like in the U-No-62 would be awesome. I was really wishing I had that capability a week ago. (3) More LFOs please!!! :)
Posted March 03. 2010 20:29:58 from 99.74.119.198:
Feature request: For TAL-DUB-III, it would be great to add wow and flutter control. By that I mean, adding some sorts of error system, or drift system to the delay so that it is not always the same static delay. Something like the LFO modulated delay in TAL-DUB-II but more random and subtle. Another request similar to this one: a "delay offset," where you can set your delay to sync to tempo, but have it offset forwards or backwards in time just a little bit to create imperfections, or to remove a bit of rigidity from the perfectly synced delay repeats. Sorry, I like to add a bit of randomness to sound processing.

I love U-NO60. Unfortunately, I'm having some problems with U-NO62 and voice stealing. If I set the VCA switch to Env and increase the release time, then repeat a triad chord rapidly, e.g. on every 8th note, sometimes only one or two voices sound instead of 3. You would expect it to steal notes when you play many notes since it's only 6 voices, but it should not steal from the three voices you're currently sounding as they should get top priority. I had similar problems with U-NO60 but only when the CPU saver option was enabled.

The new Elek7ro is super amazing. Great job! A request: would it be possible to add a way to limit polyphony like in U-NO-62?? Another thing, when I set the pitch wheel to VCO to max and then move the pitch wheel on my keyboard all the way up I get what sounds like a slightly out of tuned octave. In other words, if I play a G3 and move the wheel all the way up, instead of getting a G4 note, I get something in between F#4 and G4.

I see that others are as impressed with your work as I am. Good work. Devon.

TAL, could you please, please, please, make two slight additions/changes to TAL Elek7ro? 1. Please smooth the pitch bend wheel with a lag processor and some 50-75 ms time! Faster pitchbending produces audible steps 2. Can you please, please PLEASE make the letters of all the selectors (filter type, AD intensity, LFO selectors) BRIGHTER? They are too gray, and gray on black background doesn't work well. Make them white, please! THANK YOU FOR YOUR AWESOME SYNTH!

Hiya! Downloaded and tested TAL-Filter (1.1 beta), using latest Reaper (XP sp2). The problems I had concerning presets not loading properly are unfortunatly still there (reopening a previously saved project). I've basically tried every solution I can think of but no success. I still have to open the FX-chain and select TAL-Filter for the preset to become active. My problems with stereo and panning were imagined, some other effect was causing problem! Keep up the good work! /snoddas

Tested Filter (v0.8 beta) using Reaper (latest version) and had problems when Reopening a project. The previously saved preset is not active, but becomes avtive when FX-chain is opened and the Filter plugin is selected. So my saved preset seems to be loaded but not active...? Also, when the PAN knob is set to 0 (knob set furthest left) I still seem to get some stereo effect... Not sure if these issues are reaper or Filter related (or my imagination...)? But I'm already in love with this filter and recommend everyone to try it out! /snoddas

I'm on an Intel Mac Dual 2.66 running OS 10.4.11 I'm using Presonus "Studio One" as my DAW. It loads both .vst and .au pluggins. The VST version of the Reverb pluggin doesn't show up in the list of pluggins when I look for it. All the other TAL VST pluggins work fine The AU version of the reverb pluggin is listed but when I open it in a track, the interface "flashes" visible for a second and then disappears. I hear it but I can't see it. All the other AU pluggins load and operate but the "preset" menu is frozen on all of them in the AU versions VST versions don't have this issue.

Since you have successfully tackled recreating the Roland Juno-6 and Juno-60, have you considered now recreating the Roland Alpha Juno-2 / Alpha Juno-1 / MKS-50? The Juno-2 was my first real MIDI synth (along with 2 MKS-50's) and I have created hundreds of patches that I would love to upload to a software synth to use on my Mac, but I simply cannot find anyone else that has attempted to recreate the great synth.

I just can't believe that there is such a quality for free! I never thought that I will write sth like this about freeware plugs cause most of the 10000000+ free plugs in the world have big difficulties to sound like they own a certain useful character. What you did with your plugs is absolutely amazing, regarding the Elek7ro these powerful oscillators combined with an outstanding filtersound just rock. I'm really interessted what stuff comes next. So pls go on with your TAL products, you are a real gem. Respect from Berlin Martin

I'm somewhat new to recording and mixing on my new Mac. I mainly use Logic Pro's included effects, but I'll be honest, I've researched some expensive 3rd party plug-in bundles for a wider choice of effects and instruments. But I always end up reaching for my TAL plugs. I can't believe how good they are and how much fun it is to use them. As someone who is pretty much broke after forking out the cash for a new Mac, an audio-interface and a few other pieces of kit, I can't tell you how much I appreciate and admire the work you're doing for fellow musicians. It's very inspiring!! I'll be getting paid in a week and I'm going to make it a point to offer you my thanks via paypal. Please keep up the great work!! - Justin

Hi Guys, In your Juno uno 62 samples, the 62 has what sounds like aliasing, or oops we forgot to dither noise. It would really help to sell the synth better, unless it's actually is that noisy. I look forward to giving them a try. All of your plugs look awesome.
TAL: The first version had that issues. The samples arent up to date. Will replace them as soom as i have time.

What I like to see are some drum machines. I'd like to see your own version of Microtonic & Attack. What I'd love to see is a rewire client such as Reason that's more like Live with a touch of Sequel for better ease of use. I'd also like the ability to make Reason the master via the Rebirth Input Machine. A sampler that supports Rex, AIFF & Wave with support from 8 bit to 64 bit audio resolution. What is needed is VST 3 versions of these plug ins. My intent is upgrade to Cubase 5 from Cubase SL 3. So I want to get the most out of that program. I like to see Multi Filter & Real Synth ported to OS X. Cubase Midi Effects would be fine with me. Wish you could turn this into something like Soundclick but easier & slightly less expensive when you want to go VIP. I used these programs to create my music. Go to Soundclick.com look up Subgrounder. Thank you for greating great software.

Elek7ro is a really fine VSTi, but I came across two annoying bugs with it. With MiniHost and Elek7ro v1.01 (but not 1.00, so I guess it is the VSTi's fault) using the modwheel seems to produce "note on" or "hold" midi messages. With Reaper (2.55-2.58), it is impossible to load FXB files without the host crashing, FXPs are fine (both Elek7ro 1.00 & 1.01). Not sure if the Reaper bug can be fixed from your side, though. Anyway, very nice synth.

Elek7ro: This is an interesting synth with a nice, clean GUI (although the font of the option fields could be brighter) BUT TWO THINGS I AM MISSING: 1. Switch to poly, choose a long release and one OSC, press the same notes several times, you will here each new note is 100% in tune with the other. You will not get that with a real analog synth - every voice will have a very very little different tuning. That's what makes the sound of real analog synths more living. In a plugin, this can be done by a very small amount of random detuning each time a key is pressed. 2. One of the LFOs should have a falling saw. and at last a small thing: maybe a sustain pedal could be interpreted?
TAL: Thanks, great input. I will try to do this in the next update!

Thanks for these marvellous plug ins - what a talent! Vocoder is excellent and particular favourite! Have sent what I could afford as a donation (and others should do the same). Derek p.s Maria, I use Live 6 (currently on 6.0.11 so you should also download the free update from Ableton). Have you checked that the VST .dll file is located in the VST Plug-In Custom Folder that you have selected in Live's Options/Preferences/FileFolder/Plug-In Sources? This folder can be wherever you choose but has to be nominated so that Live can find VSTs. After changes, remember to 'Rescan Plug-Ins'. Hope this helps

What a delicious vocoder!! I have tried others and I thought the one on my trusty Novation K Station was OK but the sounds on this one are so rich that it stands high above the rest - thank you so much!! Donation on its way! I noted a previous comment regarding set up difficulty and did find it a bit tricky myself, partly due to getting my head around the vocoder concept in software. The external source layout for Ableton Live, as shown, works a treat but to use the delightful TAL presets, try this set up for Live: Track 1 (Audio) - Audio from: Ext.In; Monitor: Auto; Audio to: Master (+TAL Vocoder as VST effect). This channel armed for recording. Track 2 (MIDI) – MIDI from: (your audio interface e.g Edirol UA-25); Monitor: In; MIDI to: 1-Audio For Reaper, a working set up up is Track 1 - audio input for vocals with a send to track 2 / Track 2 - midi input with TAL Vocoder as a VST fx and receiving from Track 2. I imagine that this states the obvious for users who got the set up going in no time but I hope this helps and saves time for others like me who are not so quick!

I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who is utterly blown away by your creations/emulations. I've been an electronic musician for twelve years, produced 30 records+, am part-owner/head-engineer in a professional studio and own a SH-101 and a Juno 106. There aren't enough accolades in the english vocabulary to describe my amazement and respect for your team and its obvious dedication to excellence. In addition to your synths (and I hope others reading this take note), your FX processing plugs are freakin' killer too! The senior engineer at my studio was going mad over the chorus and saturation plugs when I had him listen to them today. I also plan on sending A DONATION to you soon and hope other do as well. I wish TAL a very successful future.

OMFG!!!! Holy Shit, you have no idea how long i've been waiting for someone to recreate the old classic vintage sound of the EMS 2000 VS Sennheiser. I was pricing this on Ebay, and realized it would take me months to afford one. BUT YOU SAVED THE YEAR. I CAN'T THANK YOU ENOUGH, I WILL BE SENDING YOU A DONATION IMMEDIATELY. The Tal emu of the EMS 2000 VS Sennheiser fucking blows my socks off!! thankyou thankyou thakyou thankyou. It has that exact sound I've been dreaming of having since I was a kid. Even the newer hardware vocoders CANT TOUCH THIS!!!!!! I;ll be sending you a donation no doubt, and when i do a couple shows soon, some of those profits will go to you because, HONESTLY, i feel that someone who dedicates something they are passionate about deserve much more than corporate whores.. YOU ROCK!!!!!!!! DON'T STOP...... BTW, I think the next bad ass step is a recreation of the original TR 808. The Analog blows EVERYTHING AWAY. I FUCKING LOVE YOU MAN. Hello! I have been waiting for an update that would fix this but I guess it would be easier for you if someone actually told you about the problem. Your plugins that seem marvellous simply won't work in Jeskola Buzz. Given the nature of the highly unstable program the problem might be in my own system configuration. If you could fix this I would be very thankful. I'm especially looking forward to using your Chorus and U-No-62. Oh, and happy holidays!

Well, I've been collecting free plugs for a live rig, as taking out the vintage hardware is a no go. I love these, although if you could do something to fix the fact that doing stuff all in software makes me feel like a tool and long for the blissful amounts of headroom and punch of running actual synthesizers thru an actual mixer. Here's to the death of electronic music and the continuing banality of video game culture. Thank god you haven't turned my system 100 into a free net download that I have to tweek with a mouse. Very close nonetheless.

You guys rock. Seriously. On next delay unit or next Dub version, could you have a knob that allows you to continuously shift across delay times, like on the korg rmk drum machines (not like the manual mode on Dub, but rather a knob that steps through the different synced time divisions). Thats my favorite feature on my korg. Thanks! Paul

Great Juno-60 EMU! Are you guys going to add in the classic Roland Arpeggiator? OH! To the user below me; the Juno-60 (contrary to popular belief) is NOT ANALOG. Meaning the voices cannot de-tune against each other because they are not human tuned. Digitally Controlled Oscillators (DCOs) sadly do not go out of tune, not even a little bit...
Posted September 30. 2008 02:51:17 from 88.104.135.209:
Is there any chance of adding a voice detune control to the U-NO-62? Currently all the voices are tuned identically which causes odd phase effects and results in a very static sound that would not occur in a Juno-60 due to human tuning, temperature etc.

Hey, the I just installed the U-NO-62, and I must say I'm impressed with both the warm sound and the looks of this synth. I have one issue, though. The sound keeps skipping and clicking when I use it in Logic on my MacBook, even if it's the only instrument loaded. This obviously will prevent me from using it, which is a shame. Without this issue I'd easily pay to get this one, though.

Posted May 30. 2008 17:03:11 from 82.108.141.69:
just listened to the sound examples, congrats, you've made big improvements in oscillators, and also the filters!! The filters still sound a little bit weaker to the original Juno - the originals are "raspier", dirtier. Check antti huovilainen's paper for approximating nonlinearity in dsp moog filters: dafx04.na.infn.it/WebProc/Proc/P_061.pdf

TAL: Used exactly this filter. Thats the cause the synth useses more CPU as others(lot of tanh operations and only 3dB per stage). But maybe i should overdrive the filter a bit more. Will try that :)

Tal bassline AU ! THANKS SO MUCH FOR THE AU VERSION OF THIS PLUGIN ! I loved it on windows and missed it on mac ! also color choice would be swell ! p.s. if you think your up to it or have the desire ;the mc 202 would be a great plugin as well ...and as the osc, vcf, vca are the same in the hardware 202 as they are the 101 half the work is done just needs sequencer and gui !

TAL-Tube Mac makes all the difference! The 'skimpy' digital sound rounds out, warms up, and sounds great. This effect takes digital recording to the 'next level'... producing predictable adjustable feedback characteristics when played in real time... and giving us back that wonderful tube compression sound we've all been missing in our stand alone digital studios. Thank You!

Trying to use your stuff from within KORE 2 both standalone and in Logic 8, no access to presets,it would be beneficial to everyone to have a presets tab on the synths themselves, rather than relying on the host sequencer, any chance this could be worked in? (U-No-60 and TAL-Bassline)

Thanks a lot for the Bassline. As I own a hardware SH-101, I did not expect to impressed, but I really am. To say it with a little rewriting of Mr. Emersons words "The TAL Bassline is a SH-101 on stereoids". Warm and useful bass sounds, even if I use it along with analog hardware. Comes to life for lead sounds with effects. Can't believe that it's free of charge.

very nice chorus ! works fine on mac osx sounds great and can be used on many different sound sources now also the analog synths emulations are better than many other commercial ones specially when you compare cpu usage and sound quality. tube is really very musical. and the analog delay is well done the flanger emulation is the best i have heard (something between MXR and Ibanez FL301) . i love the use of the mouse wheel on the controls. just the phasing is like other phasing plugins ... i have never found one who sounds good in the digital world . but thank you so much. i sent you my paypal support.

Thanks for the great plugins. Loving the TAL-BassLine. Maybe you could somehow decrease the random click/snap for the ENV? Would be much more useful. As it is, the envelope is really nasty. Gate works smooth though. Good stuff!
TAL: I will try to smoothing the Amp Env a bit in the next update. The click appears because the attack and release are very fast- giving a bit attack and release may gives a smoother attack/release.

I've been trying out the UNO-60 and Vintager, great synths, has that wonderful analog sound missing from many VSTs claiming to be like the originals. However, one problem - the GUIs are popping up as blank screens! I can access the presets OK, but I'd like to start programming my own sounds into it. I'm running Cubase SL 3.1 under Mac OS X 10.4.10 if this can help you fix this bug. Otherwise, great software.

I live and breathe on a Juno 106. I have three of them and they are dead mint, like new. Took some doin to get them. I have a monster collection of VST stuff as well. The Uno 60 is a masterfully done synth.. I do not even call it a VST /It is like a secret weopon that relieves my hard ware synths from hard combat duty. I am telling you this is the best analog synth VST I have/ Tone and dynamics are really more or less as good as real one/ I would not have believed it. / Juno is my main synth/heart of my sound/ it is like having the hardware unit with aftertouch ect ect. With no anxiety or upkeep. Amazing. Dream come true for me. It is beyond comprehention that Roland could not pull this off. Or Arturia ect, Brilliant job/ I will donate. Quick suggestions 1 Arpegiator like original is a must. Arpegiater on HW J60 is such a joy to use although I play a 106. 2. Glide is a must. Graphics are top notch but I would lay it out flat like the one above me right now. 3. Keytranspose is an amazing feature on 106 that almost changes the entire character of sound/ very underrated and misunderstood. Mono mode. Beyond that this is like perfection man. I have so many VST things that just have nothing on an original. This almost mothballs my real ones.

This plug rocks for real! If you're taking suggestions, think about implementing a mono mode & glide option in the future! Anyway great job, thanks a lot.

Hello Geoffroy, i have tested it in Reaper and it works. I think you has also a too old processor. You need at least something like a Pentium 4.

I cannot read the dll in my hosts (vsthost, minihost, ...) ? I dont know wahts the problem is here... i have tested it in minihost and it works. You must have at least a Pentium 4 processor to load the plugins.

did you manage to make the Juno work in Ableton Live ? The GUI opens, but no note is playing. If I put another VSTi it works. It crashes Reaper also. All the best. Geoffroy

Heya. 1st of all - this Vintager is sounding at least as good as some Pro few100 bucks synths do. For me at least.. But I have 1 problem - since 1.2 update I can't open it up any more.. After I run cubase 2 it doesn't get reported as a VSTi anymore.. 1.01 didn't have this problem on my comp. Anyone else?? Goodjob anyway. Thanx.
Posted May 08. 2007 21:48:48 from 76.223.85.95:
Great job on this one!!---It has a hardware like character, not that cheesy soft synth color some synths have. You should expand on this making it polyphonic and giving it the ability to make pad sounds. btw- like the Gui as well.
